Welcome to the SDSU College of Sciences Student Success Center (CoS SSC). We aim to be a strong champion of your educational journey, to find new and creative ways to support you through academic advising, programming, and access to academic and career development resources, and opportunities.
The Student Success Center provides a physical space to support our diverse community of students. Throughout the academic year we will host, sponsor, or support a growing calendar of events for students to expand their network of connections, gain greater professional skills and feel a sense of belonging in our science community.
The CoS SSC team includes a group of junior and senior science majors who serve as Peer Advisors and perform outreach to students. Peer advisers are available to help students via phone, email, and on a one-on-one basis. These trained science student advisors are supervised by me and my two other staff members and are very approachable, well-informed on the tools, services and resources that are available to all students, and can you navigate campus services. In addition, Peer Advisors have extensive experience with registration, study abroad, internships, research opportunities and campus activities.
We encourage you to browse our website and stop by our office. We have a few computers available for use, along with designated study spaces for our students. We want our office to feel like home by providing a respectful, kind and helpful atmosphere. We also have special benefits (free printing and coffee) for our “regular” visitors.
